Shipping policy

This page explains when your order will be sent, what postage costs, how long it should take to arrive, and what happens if something goes wrong along the way.

If you have a question about a particular order, email me at daisybeearts@gmail.com with your order number and I'll look into it.

Who I ship with

All orders are sent with Royal Mail.

Delivery costs

  • UK, orders under £30: £5
  • UK, orders of £30 or more: free
  • Commissions in the UK: always free
  • European Union: £14.99
  • USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Switzerland, Norway and a few other countries: £24.99

If your country isn't offered at checkout, I'm not able to post there yet, but email me and I'll see what I can do. The exact cost for your order is always shown at checkout before you pay.

When your order is sent

Prints are packed and posted on the next working day after your order comes in.

Commissions are posted on the next working day after you've seen and approved the finished painting. Watercolour needs to be completely dry before it can be packed safely, so this is the one part of the process I won't rush.

You'll get an email as soon as your order is on its way.

How long delivery takes

Within the UK, your order should reach you within a week of being posted, and usually much sooner.

Outside the UK, delivery times vary a great deal depending on the destination and how quickly the parcel clears customs, and Royal Mail doesn't guarantee international timings, so I can't give you a reliable estimate. What I can tell you is the date your parcel left me.

If your order hasn't arrived within 30 days of being posted, get in touch and I'll either send a replacement or refund you.

How your order is packed

Prints are posted flat, never rolled: each one goes in a protective sleeve inside a rigid board-backed envelope.

Commissions are wrapped, backed with board and corner-protected so they arrive flat and undamaged.

I reuse packaging materials where they're clean and sound. It keeps waste down and protects your order just as well.

If something goes wrong

Your order stays my responsibility until it reaches you. If a parcel is lost or damaged on the way, that's mine to sort out, not yours.

If it's running late, email me and I'll chase it with Royal Mail. Please allow a little extra time in December and around bank holidays, when the post slows down everywhere.

If it's confirmed lost, I'll send a replacement or refund you in full, whichever you'd prefer. A commission is painted once, so if one is lost I'll talk to you about repainting it or refunding you.

If it arrives damaged, send me a few photos of the item and the packaging as soon as you can, and I'll replace or refund it.

Delivery addresses

Please double-check your address at checkout. Royal Mail can't redirect a parcel once it's in the post, and I can't refund an order sent to an address that was given incorrectly.

If you spot a mistake straight after ordering, email me straight away. If I haven't posted it yet, I can usually fix it.

Orders from outside the UK: customs and import charges

Parcels sent outside the UK may be charged customs duty, import tax or handling fees by the country they're going to.

These charges are set by that country, not by me. They aren't included in the price you pay at checkout, and I can't know or control what they'll be. As the person receiving the parcel, you're responsible for paying them.

If a parcel is refused or sent back to me because import charges weren't paid, I'll refund the cost of the items, but not the original postage.

I'm required to declare the true contents and value on every customs form, so I can't mark an order as a gift or declare a lower value.

Returns

If you'd like to send something back, everything you need is on my Returns & Refunds page.
