Refund policy

Every print is made from one of my own paintings, and every commission is painted by hand, just for you. I want you to be happy with what arrives. This page explains when you can return something, how to do it, and what happens next.

If anything here isn't clear, email me at daisybeearts@gmail.com and I'll talk it through with you.

Prints: your 14-day right to change your mind

For prints, you have 14 days from the day your order arrives to tell me you'd like to cancel and return it. You don't need to give a reason.

Once you've told me, you then have a further 14 days to send the print back.

This right doesn't apply to commissions, because they're painted to your own brief. See Commissions below.

How to start a return

  1. Email daisybeearts@gmail.com within 14 days of your order arriving. You can use the cancellation form at the bottom of this page, but a simple email saying you'd like to cancel is just as good.
  2. Include your order number and, if the print arrived damaged or faulty, a few photos.
  3. I'll reply to confirm and tell you where to send it.

Please wait for my reply before posting anything, so I know to expect it.

Return postage

If you've changed your mind, return postage is at your own cost. I'd recommend a tracked service, because the parcel is your responsibility until it reaches me.

If the print is faulty, damaged or not as described, I'll cover the cost of sending it back. Please email me first and I'll arrange it, rather than paying yourself.

Return address (once your return is confirmed):
DaisyBee Arts, 73 Airyhall Drive, Aberdeen, AB15 7QQ, United Kingdom

Condition of returned prints

Please send prints back flat, in their protective sleeve with the backing board, the same way they arrived.

I may reduce your refund if a print has been handled more than you'd need to see what it's like, the same way you could look at it in a shop, for example if it's been framed, trimmed or creased.

Refunds

I'll refund you within 14 days of the print arriving back with me, or of you showing me proof that you've sent it, whichever is sooner. Refunds go back to the original payment method.

For change-of-mind returns I'll also refund the delivery cost you paid on the original order. Delivery prices are on my Shipping Policy page.

Banks take a few working days to process refunds, so allow a little time for it to show up.

Faulty, damaged or not as described

If something arrives damaged, faulty, or doesn't match its description, email me at daisybeearts@gmail.com with photos as soon as you can. Photos help me sort it quickly and take it up with Royal Mail where needed.

If you tell me within 30 days of it arriving, you're entitled to reject it and get a full refund, including the delivery you paid and the cost of sending it back. After that, I'll repair, replace or refund it, depending on what's happened.

Please note that my prints are reproductions of hand-painted watercolours, and colours can look a little different in person than on your screen. That isn't a fault.

Commissions

Commissions are painted specifically for you, to a brief we agree together, so under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 they can't be cancelled or returned simply because you've changed your mind.

Because of that, nothing is paid until we've talked your commission through and you're happy with the plan. You'll also see the finished painting before it's posted. You can read more about how commissions work on my Commissions page.

Cancelling a commission. If you change your mind after paying but before I've started painting, I'll refund you in full. If I've already started, I'll keep a fair amount for the work done so far and refund the rest.

If there's a significant issue with the finished piece, meaning something clearly wrong with the painting itself, please tell me before it's posted, and I'll put it right where I can. If it can't be put right, I offer a partial refund of 30% of the commission price.

This sits alongside your legal rights, not instead of them. If a commission is faulty, or isn't what we agreed, you keep your full legal right to a repair, replacement or refund.

Discounted items

Prints bought with a discount code have exactly the same 14-day right to cancel and the same protection for faulty goods as anything bought at full price. The refund is the amount you actually paid.

Exchanges

I don't run a separate exchange process. If you'd like a different print or size, return the original under the 14-day right above and place a new order.

Parcels lost in the post

If your order hasn't arrived, email me and I'll chase it with Royal Mail. If a parcel is confirmed lost, I'll send a replacement or refund you in full, whichever you'd prefer. That one's on me, not you.

Your legal rights

Nothing on this page affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

If we can't sort something out between us, you can get free, impartial advice from Citizens Advice, or from Advice Direct Scotland if you live in Scotland.
